This penalty is not commutative with the same penalty from venomthropes. The zoanthrope only affects infantry units, so in a way, its better for your big guys. Your opponent must subtract 1 from hit rolls for ranged weapons that target Hive Fleet Infantry units within 3″ of any friendly Hive Fleet Venomthropes” Please point out where it mentions individual models: So you fight with your Wrecker Claw and so you make 10 hit rolls against the unit with that weapon.

A venomthrope works only on Infantry, ,alanthrope the Malanthropes work on both infantry and monsters as long as the whole unit fits in the buff radius. I think a lot of people are gonna go nuts over the Harridan- “omg it can move maalnthrope inches and charge and it’s got thirty wounds and it can move over everything and and and and and!
