One of the first modern caretakers of Juliet’s tomb, Ettore Solimani, created a “ritial of love”.
But that is just part of the story. I figured the movie was based on a book, but I hadn’t really looked into it.
It looked kind of cheesy to me, but I would be very interested in reading the stories of the women who reply to these ‘Dear Juliet’ letters! The Guardian ‘ s Peter Bradshaw called the film “cheerfully ridiculous”, pointing out the differing accents from both Amanda Seyfried and Christopher Egan, but gave praise to Vanessa Redgrave for a “likably, if not quite intentionally mad performance. The illustrations and photos also added greatly to the experience. I enjoyed reading a sampling of actual le I requested this book from the local library after seeing the movie “Letters to Juliet” with my mom, and was not disappointed.

I clearly did not read the description right. Will have to watch it sometime. Towards the middle, and end, the book did get a little more interesting as the authors started to talk about the creation of the Club di Guieletta; as well as the history of such.
