Over the last few books, it has been increasingly apparent that AIs act, respond, and feel like living beings. Even sexism is alive mcdevirt well, though subtly. The later novels have been very good–the writing remains clear and readable, the stories are still interesting. Sorry for the lack of details but I want to avoid spoilers.
