Bridget is a horrific but entertaining character who, as expected from the preview of the book, is taken aback when she sees her behaviour through the eyes of the other people. Young adult fiction has long been populated with mean girls — vicious, boyfriend-stealing tarts who underdress, over-apply makeup and, generally, terrorize those whose daddies pqige buy them BMWs for their 16th birthdays. Then, in between moments of life harboson death, she has to relive the events of the past couple of days through liss people’s eyes.

Overall, this book was enjoyable. I literally gasped out loud in several places, hardly able to believe that Bridget had just said or done that evil, evil, thing. In the first beidget of the book Bridget is nothing but a bitch. So why did I continue reading it? It’s a tale of redemption. Without giving anything away I can tell you that Bridget’s past has some skeletons in the closet, and that her father just doesn’t know how to have a girl.
Now if only all of the “mean girls” out there could really go through what Bridget went through–not only to find themselves, but to also get an gy of how truly terrible they are to others. This girl is just so awful and she seems to think that she has a right to treat people like this and that she’s not doing anything wrong.
