This one tends to concentrate on the history of the guitar, the naming of parts, the various tuning systems, how strings are attached and very interestingly the history of notation. None of this is for the beginner and this It is for the intermediate player or teacher who wants more in depth information about their instrument.

Volumes 2 and 3 are a gold mine of useful exercises that progress to studies to really get your teeth into. The 3 volumes are expensive but terrific. puojl

You are in the hands of the master. A very hard to find guitar school book, at least in Europe.

This number One book is for beginners and mostly it teaches techniques how to play. A lot of theory and less music, but very important issues indeed.
