Not great and are on the side of fan fiction. The story was good, learning more about the Nephilim was interesting, and seeing the interactions of the Horsemen was fun. See 1 question about Darksiders…. I did like it – but only for the fact that I was already vested in the characters; it has done nothing to change my opinions on licensed fiction and it will, in all likelihood, be many years before I venture to read one again.
Author and publisher should have taken this into account. No comment on that fantasy post!
Because that is the case. They get to be sarcastic in cut scenes, is the extent of them. Is Autor making fun of us or I missed something through the story? Whenever Death wasn’t feeling xbomination mopey. Great book, even if you haven’t played the game. Only a few more examples I actually dreaded reading those parts and would skip ahead.
I think the story is very adequate to these days and it says alot, beyond the battles and supernatural thin Great book! The name field is required. However, the fighting scenes and location descriptions were almost always long-winded as the author was telling instead of showing, which made it a bit boring sometimes. The Abomination Vault shows us how their deep bond and friendship developed while trying to solve a problem that could end the world.

The writing is not all bad, but rather to purply for a video game tie-in.

The specific requirements or preferences of your reviewing publisher, classroom teacher, institution or organization should be applied. The story blazes along at a fair lick, with action sequence after action sequence – somewhat revealing of the IP’s origins – and this kept my interest.
The voice was perfect for this book! Another review already pointed out how Death’s humour is much more sarcastic and less sardonic than in the games, which I find sad.
It simply is not very imaginative despite the unique setting: With weapons of a bygone age that can destroy the universe itself, Death and War define their relationship against the troubles they face in ensuring that there is still a tomorrow. I may well be tempted in the near future but I have a sequel to the audio book I just reviewed to start soon.

This is a story of fiction. The author presumes, and perhaps rightly so, that readers will have knowledge of the games and their content.
He’s flawed and he knows it. In this case, however, the answer is “not I don’t read media tie-ins anymore. The Game and the book relation – My advice to you is – don’t read this book without playing Darksiders 1 which is about the rider of darksirers apocalypse – War and preferably aabomination it after you’ve done that and just before playing Darksiders I started with Darksiders 2, then found there are art books, comics, Darksiders darksides, and a full book, that it’s a whole story and damn, it messed in my life till the moment I’ve got everything possible I could about it!
Death always jumps impossibly high, the scythe slashes an impossibly amount of enemies, the wall he climbed was impossibly steep. I like Darksiders 2 though it really gets sloppy in the end. Some scenes even read like they were written just to build up to another one-liner, which is something I could have done without. And, ever since starting to watch the Expanse, I have the urge to dive into the novels the show was based on.

There aren’t a lot of books written about super heroes specifically because it is difficult to showcase the sort of action they can deliver in literature without coming off a little absurd or ridiculous.
