Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice by Ivan Brunetti
Pretty good for developing storytelling skills, even if cartoons aren’t your forte. A book on eating donuts? Strongly recommended to cartoonig interested in combining words and images.
I miss that class. Brunetti is so precise with his wit, it’s cutting.
Supplemented by Brunetti’s own illustrations, prepared specially for this book, these lessons move the reader from spontaneous drawings to single-panel strips and complicated multipage stories.
