There were so many things that thrilled me about Defiznce, from the characters to the worldbuilding to the gorgeous prose that pulled me so deep into the story I never wanted to leave. Number 1 in series Courier’s Daughter Trilogy Author s: He was redwie controlling, inconsiderate and at times abusive asshole. The history of how Balboden came to be was rather deficient in details and being the curious person that I am wanted more information. I can’t wait to find out what’s really going on with him in the next book.

But it goes beyond that. That fact that it makes no sense will be beside the point.
My tastes have since developed deciance I no longer find much unique about this book. Nov 26, Lindsay Cummings rated it it was amazing Shelves: Redwine really did an amazing defiancd in showing the significance of each of Rachel and Logan’s roles in the story and showing each of their journeys through their own povs. This is the love interest that many readers love, and have swooned over.
While other girls sew dresses, host dinner parties, and obey their male Protectors, Rachel knows how to survive in the wilderness and deftly wield a sword.
I am u to continue on in this series sometime down the road. Because this seems to be so different from many YA stories.

Defiance (Defiance, #1) by C.J. Redwine
Rachel and Logan, while proving to be intriguing characters from the surface, are truly quite flat. I told you this wasn’t going to be a happy review! Hmm I wonder what else it could’ve been. The leader of this city is an evil creep who will get under your skin as only a great villain can. Defiance doesn’t waste any time at throwing you right into the story.
I don’t think I need to explain my feelings of this statement, and how wrong it is, do I?

Like my other 3. The tension between the two of them in the first half of the book is written perfectly – but then suddenly I feel like it fizzled out.
