Steaming, funky, and thoroughly modern, Austin, Texas, isn’t much like the gardened country estates of Jane Austen’s work. Turns out, this journal belonged to Jane Austen! I just loved this book. I hoped he wouldn’t forgive her and would instead find someone worthy of his attention.

I loved her banter and witticisms. I really enjoyed this book. How can she think this will lead to anything and yet she does. The romance here really worked for me. Sadly, this is not.

Can reading a book make you stupider? It was more like a giant leap out of her shell, actually. Her life is anything but adventurous and in fact the highlight of austensiibly week is playing ordinaryy with the deliciously handsome Ethan; her best friend and a fellow teacher. Now, some of these surprises might stretch credibility a little too far for some readers, but really, for any absurdities or lack of believability in the story, I never – not once – cared.
